Product Description

Rooibos (pronounced roy-boss) means red bush in Afrikaans, revealing the South African origin of the shrub whose leaves are used in making a red ‘tea’. It is caffeine free and low in tannins. Some people like it with milk and or sugar, or you can just add a bit of honey or lemon. It contains a large number of antioxidants as well as zinc, calcium, and magnesium.

Ingredients: Organic rooibos leaves.

Packaged in 50g boxes. Other sizes available on request. Packaged responsibly in cardboard and cellophane.

The Art of Tea started up in 2000 and operated from a stall at Salamanca Market in Hobart, with a range of 12 varieties of tea. Now, they have a warehouse and small retail shop at Kingston where you will find more than 130 blends of teas and herbal infusions. The owner, Samantha Brown, seeks out the highest quality ingredients for The Art of Tea products, with them being hand packed and blended on the premises. The business has been expanding and now employs four staff, with the stall at Salamanca Market still a regular Saturday occurrence.

Herbal blends aren’t ‘tea’ as such, as their ingredients don’t originate from the tea plant, Camellia sinensis. They have the advantage of being caffeine free and are blended to assist with a range of ailments or conditions as well as to just enjoy.
