Spreyton Fresh: Apple Cider Vinegar
Apple Cider Vinegar is a recent addition to the range made by Spreyton Fresh. Spreyton Fresh have been making award winning juices since 1998 and this is used in the making of their apple cider vinegar. Spreyton Fresh apple juice is made from 100% Tasmanian apples, with the majority grown on their own orchards using biologically sustainable systems. It takes three kilograms of apples to make two litres of apple juice. The fresh juice is fermented first into apple cider and then vinegar. Natural fermentation is achieved using selected strains of yeast and acetobacter bacteria. The vinegar is allowed to age on the vinegar 'mother' and then bottled. It is unfiltered and unpasteurised retaining all its goodness and valuable 'mother'. Spreyton Fresh claim their apple cider vinegar to be softer on the palette than more commercially produced vinegars. Apple cider vinegar has a well-known reputation, built up over centuries, for its health benefits. Apple Cider Vinegar is a powerful body alkaliser promoting the growth of beneficial bacteria and serves as a strong first line of defence against all manner of diseases. Many health practitioners advocate the daily use of Apple Cider Vinegar as a general health tonic and an aid to many specific health issues. It can be taken as a tonic - a teaspoon or a tablespoon in a glass of warm water, with honey added if needed. Also a great base from which to make a salad dressing and use in any recipe that calls for vinegar. Settling in the bottom of the bottle will be some deposits which are valuable fermentation residues and the 'mother'. Lightly shake the bottle to distribute this goodness before use. This is a normal sign of a quality, live vinegar. Available in 500mL glass bottles. Ingredients: Unfiltered Naturally Brewed Apple cider Vinegar, (contains traces of vinegar mother (acetobactor)). Minimum 5.5% Acidity. Spreyton Fresh Apple Cider Vinegar contains no concentrates, additives or preservatives.
